Name: Lorraine M. Usterbowski Dates: Birth date: September 10, 1930 Death date: July 8, 2012 Obituary: Lorraine M. Usterbowski, age 81, of 3340 Whiting Ave., Stevens Point, WI, died peacefully at home July 8, 2012. Lorraine was born September 10, 1930 to the late Arthur & Grace (Biszak) Sutton in Chicago, IL. She grew up there, attended the local grade schools, and graduated from Old St. Pat’s High School. She married Kenneth A. Usterbowski on January 17, 1948 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1998. In earlier years, Lorraine dedicated her life to family. She not only shared her loving care with her own children, but also to extended family members. In the 1960’s, Lorraine & her family settled in Hanover Park, IL. As her children grew, Lorraine had the opportunity to work several part time jobs; including for the local newspaper. In 1968, Lorraine & Kenneth settled their family in Stevens Point, WI. Lorraine began driving school buses until becoming employed with the City of Stevens Point. She drove a city bus for numerous years until retiring. Lorraine will be remembered for her friendly & social nature. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. In her spare time she gardened, traveled with her husband, and enjoyed socializing with friends. Lorraine was a faithful member of St Stephen Catholic Church. She was also an active volunteer in the local elementary schools, St Stephen Parish, & the Riverfront Arts Center. Survivors include her children, Sharon (Charles) Ryan of Acworth, GA, Donna (William) Rockwood of Barrington, IL, Carolyn (Carl) Ciciora of St Louis, MO, Denise (Steven) Farwell of Northbrook, IL, & Kenneth (Jamie Lautenschlager) Usterbowski Jr. of Neenah, WI; sister, Evelyn Cooper of Mosinee, WI; 8 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am, Friday, July 13, 2012 at St Stephen Catholic Church in Stevens Point. Friends may call at the church for a time of visitation from 9:30 am until the time of service on Friday. Burial will take place in Linwood Union Cemetery, Town of Linwood, WI.
