Name: Arlene E. Roy Dates: Birth date: August 6, 1925 Death date: July 15, 2012 Obituary: Arlene E. Roy, age 86, formerly of Stevens Point, died peacefully at her home in Oconomowoc, July 15, 2012. Arlene was born August 6, 1925 to the late Walter & Ruby (Philbrick) Lepper in Stevens Point, WI. She grew up here, attended the local grade schools, and graduated high school. Arlene worked for the Stevens Point Bakery for a short time. She married Louis Roy on October 26, 1946 at St Stephen Catholic Church. Arlene was married to Louis for 54 years until his death on December 31, 2000. Arlene devoted the majority of her life to family and raising her children. After her children had grown, Arlene returned to work and became employed with Celestial Farms, Plover. As time passed, Arlene & Louis decided to rid themselves of Wisconsin’s winter months by settling in Seffner, FL. Nine years following death of her husband, Arlene moved back to Wisconsin, where she lived with her son in Oconomowoc. Arlene will be remembered for her social nature and sense of humor. She loved her family, and spending time with them was cherished always. In her spare time, Arlene enjoyed collecting antique & unique plates, watching the Wheel of Fortune, gardening and nurturing flowers, reading magazines, and venturing out to rummage sales. She also enjoyed spending summer days on her swing and watching the birds year-round. In later years, Arlene enjoyed riding on the four wheeler with her son, Gary. Survivors include her children, Ronald of Wisconsin Rapids, Linda (Ron) Robards of Tampa, FL, Gary of Oconomowoc, & Darrel (Debbie) of Iola; siblings, Gwendolyn Schmidlkofer of Plover, Gaylord (Louise) Lepper of Mosinee, Beverly Mahne of CO, Joy (Forrest) Cummings of Stevens Point, Edward (Cathy) Lepper of Milwaukee, Robert (Barb) Lepper of CA, Dennis (Irene) Lepper of Plover, & Judy (Ron) Molski of Plover. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters. A Funeral Service, celebrating her life, will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Boston Funeral Home, Stevens Point. A time of viewing and visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Forest Cemetery in Stevens Point, WI. Memorials may be made to theAlzheimers Association. Arlene will be remembered always, and never forgotten.
