Name: Rae Dyb Date: Nov 28, 1926  -  Feb 14, 2010 Obituary: Rae A. Dyb, age 83, of 1300 Briggs St., died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at St. Michaels Hospital following a short illness. Rae was born November 28, 1926 in Madison, WI to the late Julius and Angela (Barney) Gust. She grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison East High School. She attended the University of Wisconsin two years. She married Phil Gandolph, but was later divorced. She married Luther Dyb who preceded her in death in 2005. Rae worked in Lorraine County, Ohio as Chief Deputy Clerk of Courts for a number of years. She later moved to Mexico and then Arizona before moving to Stevens Point in 1995 to be near her sons. Rae enjoyed playing bingo and her cat, Stinky. She spent the last seven years taking care of her mother, who died this past January at 104 years old. Survivors include a son, Carl (Renee) Dyb of Stevens Point; daughters, Barbara (Dick) Valley of McGregor, Minnesota and Philana (Gene) Friede of Stoughton, WI. She is preceded in death by sons William Dyb and Joseph Gandolph, besides 5 brothers and sisters. A Celebration of her Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Boston Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Christiansen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until time of service.
